Vita Coco Coconut Oil

Vita Coco Coconut Oil
Coconut oil has become a staple since I started using it this year and I use it a lot in cooking as well as baking. I made a batch of coconut and chocolate cookies using it earlier in the year and they turned out so well! I've turned a few different brands of coconut oil and some can be quite expensive but the Vita Coco coconut oil has to win the prize for the cutest packaging! How adorable is the crate box!

I was very kindly sent the *Vita Coco Extra Virgin 100% Raw Coconut Oil (£5.99, 250ml) and I couldn't wait to try it. They suggest that it is perfect for sit frying and baking or on toast, the latter is something I never thought to do. There is an almost endless list of uses for coconut oil and I actually included a section all about coconut oil in my two page article in the Blogosphere magazine which was released last month so if you can definitely check it out.

I've been using the Vita Coco coconut oil quite a lot since I received as a substitute for olive oil when cooking vegetables and I have tried it on toast and I personally don't like to eat it that way - it's a little strange. I have also used it in making vegan apple crumble as a substitute for butter and it works really well, obviously not quite as well as butter but it is much healthier.

Overall, I've loved using the Vita Coco coconut oil so far and I just love the packaging! Vita coco also make coconut water (I've tried the lemonade one and I loved it) and they make Vita Coco Caffe which contains coffee - I need to try! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Have you tried any products from Vita Coco?
