Yum Cha Instant Iced Tea Drinks

Yum Cha Instant Iced Tea Drinks
If you didn't know already, I'm a bit obsessed with herbal, mint or green tea so when these instant iced tea drinks arrived in the post, I was excited to give them a go as they seemed perfect for summer - well, the kind of summer we get in England!

*Yum Cha Jasmine (£3.95, 33cl)
The drinks, to me, are a mix between iced tea and cordial as to use you just dilute the Yumcha tea into water - approx. 1 part tea to 25 parts water. The jasmine flavour is brewed using real tea and it tastes so good! I'm not a massive fan of floral tea but this is so nice when just out of the fridge. The weather in the UK has been muggy and humid but not very hot so these have been perfect on the warmer days. It's such a refreshing drink with a subtle jasmine tea flavour that I love. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*Yum Cha Moroccan Mint (£3.95, 33cl)
I LOVE mint tea so I knew I would love this one! Mint tea, in any form, is just so refreshing and perfect as a breakfast tea. I have been having this tea in my kilner jar mug with lots of ice in the morning or in the afternoon as a little pick me up. It's a close call between the two as to which one I like more but I think I'm going to have to go with the jasmine tea! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

Overall, I'm really happy with both and I know I'll use them up so quickly! They are both sweet enough on their own so I don't need to add anything and they are both so quick and convenient. I love the flavours of both but the jasmine tea is my favourite. There's also a lemon flavour and elderflower flavour that both sound amazing!

Have you tried either of these? Do you like iced tea?

Hampstead Tea London: Organic Iced Tea

Hampstead Tea London: Organic Iced Tea
Over the past year, I have become slightly obsessed with tea - green, mint, herbal or red bush. I've tried so many variations and my favourite flavours have to be mint, elderflower and apple. I have tried tea drinks before (the Teapigs matcha green tea drinks) so I knew I would like these! Hampstead Tea London have just launched their new range of organic iced tea which is available in four flavours. All of the ingredients are organic/biodynamic and the sugar and tea are fair-trade. I was very kindly sent three to try out:

*Hampstead Tea London Organic Green Tea with Lemon (£1.69)

One of my favourite types of tea is green tea and this drink is made with real fruit, organic sugar and organic green tea leaves so it isn't artificially flavoured. I didn't know what to expect with this flavour but I instantly loved it - I have already ordered a few online! The green tea flavour isn't very strong and the lemon isn't sour as I thought it would be. It is a refreshing, summery drink that I think a lot of people would like! Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*Hampstead Tea London Organic Oolong Tea with Elderflower (£1.69)

As mentioned elderflower is one of my favourite tea flavourings (I love elderflower cordial too!) so I knew that this flavour would be the one for me. The sweet, floral taste of elderflower reminds me of warm sunny English summer days in the garden - so nostalgic, English and delicious. As with the previous drink, the tea flavour isn't that strong but they are both so refreshing, moreish and I will be ordering a few cartons of this flavour too. Overall rating: ★★★★★, 5/5.

*Hampstead Tea London Organic Oolong Tea with Peach (£1.69)

This is the one flavour that I didn't know whether I would like as I don't really like peaches on the whole. However it is much nicer and less strong/fruity than I thought it would be; it is peach like to an extent but it is more berry like in my opinion. It isn't my favourite flavour of the three but it is still very pleasant.  Overall rating: ★★★★☆, 4/5.
